AliExpress Affiliate Store Builder
AliExpress gives affiliates a 30 day window, a catalogue that ships almost everywhere, and prices quoted in your visitor's own currency. FreshStore builds the store, writes the content and keeps every price current.
An AliExpress affiliate store is your own website, filled with products from AliExpress in one niche. A visitor clicks through, buys on AliExpress, and the AliExpress affiliate programme credits the sale to your tracking ID. AliExpress takes the payment, the seller ships, and any dispute is between them.
That is the line between this and AliExpress dropshipping. A dropshipper is the merchant: they take the customer's money, place the supplier order, and own every late parcel and refund request for the next two months. An affiliate sends the click and collects a percentage.
The AliExpress affiliate programme lives at the affiliate portal, portals.aliexpress.com. It is free to join, and it is a different login from your ordinary AliExpress shopping account. Once you are inside, there are exactly three things your store needs from it.
All three go into one screen in your store dashboard, under Offer Settings and then the AliExpress tab. Our guide to opening your AliExpress affiliate account has the screenshots for every step, including the two logins that catch people out.
On Amazon and eBay, an affiliate link is an ordinary product URL with your tag stuck on the end, so your tag alone is enough. AliExpress does not work that way. It builds the tracked link itself, through its API, and the link belongs to whichever account asked for it. That is why your own key and secret are not optional here, and it is the difference that costs new affiliates the most money.
Until your keys are in, an AliExpress product still appears on your store and still links out. The commission on it is just not yours. Apply for the keys on day one and let the approval run while you build.
An AliExpress cookie lasts 30 days. A standard Amazon or eBay link lasts one. See the cookie length table for all five marketplaces.
That changes which content is worth writing. On eBay, only the buyer who is ready today pays you. On AliExpress, the person who reads a comparison article, thinks about it for a fortnight and buys on a Sunday evening still counts. Long guides, deep comparisons and slow research niches earn on AliExpress in a way they cannot on a one day window.
Delivery is the honest one. AliExpress ships from a long way away for most buyers, and a fortnight is normal where Amazon Prime is next day. If your niche is a gift with a deadline or a part somebody needs this week, put Amazon or Walmart on that product page too.
The product data is thinner as well. AliExpress returns a title, images and prices, and no description and no review scores. That is not a problem for a FreshStore store, because the AI writes the page rather than pasting a supplier feed onto it, but it does mean the star ratings your visitors expect are not there to show.
Apply for the keys first, because that is the part with a queue. Everything else is same day.
Sign up free at the AliExpress affiliate portal. It is a separate account from the one you shop with. Do the API key application in the same sitting, since approval takes about three days and nothing else waits on it.
Name a niche. The AI names the store, fills the categories from the AliExpress catalogue and writes the articles and buying guides around the products.
Under Account, then Tracking ID in the portal. Make one per store if you want to see which store earns what, rather than one number for all of them.
Tracking ID, API key and secret key go into Offer Settings, AliExpress tab. From then on every product link is generated against your own account and carries the full 30 day window.
AliExpress behaves differently from the American marketplaces, so these are the parts that exist because of it.
Links are generated through the AliExpress API against your own account, which is what carries the 30 day cookie. It is the longest window of the five marketplaces, alongside Etsy on desktop.
Your store asks AliExpress for the price of shipping to that visitor's country, in that country's currency. A German reader sees euros and a British one sees pounds, without a conversion widget guessing at it.
Amazon and eBay offers are filtered to the visitor's country, because a US listing earns nothing on a UK click. AliExpress is one worldwide programme with one item URL, so its products show to every visitor your store gets.
An automatic category feed can sort AliExpress by recent order volume rather than by keyword match, and take a minimum and maximum price. On a marketplace this large, that is the difference between a curated category and a junk drawer.
AliExpress sends no descriptions and no ratings. The AI writes the category pages, the product copy and the buying guides for your niche, so your store reads like a site rather than a supplier export.
Put an AliExpress price next to Amazon, eBay, Etsy and Walmart on the same product page. Cheap and slow against fast and dearer is a genuine choice, and you are paid on either.
Every template is mobile-responsive, fast-loading, and designed to turn visitors into buyers. Here's what your store looks like right out of the box.
