Your homepage hero can now play a video, as a silent background loop or as a video visitors click to play. Open Design > Editor, click your hero and set Media to Video. Then upload a clip, paste a link to a video you host, or pick a free stock clip.
A new Video Section puts a video on any page, and above or below the content on category, brand and article pages. Your hero picture still loads first, so your store stays fast.
A new Instant Store built from scratch on Crystal or Vista opens with a matching stock video when one fits its niche.
Four new templates join Crystal and Emporium: Bounty for deals, Compass for buying guides, Podium for ranked picks and Vista for a look book. Every store can use any of the six. Preview your own store in a template before you switch, and your work comes with you.
You can now choose how products are ordered on phones and how category tiles are laid out, and let your content run the full width of the screen. Use them to fit your store's layout to your catalogue and your visitors.
All six templates now start loading the next page while a visitor hovers over a link, so the page is often ready by the time they click. Browsing your store feels close to instant. It works on its own, with nothing to set up.
Articles now show a side rail with a table of contents, more articles and topics, so readers keep exploring your store. Category pages open with an intro that shows a picture or links to their subcategories. Both work on every template, with nothing to set up.
If your store uses the Crystal template, you can now switch it to the Prism look: rounded glass cards, gradient pill buttons and a frosted header. It is optional: switch it on in Design, and your content and settings stay as they are.
Before switching templates, you can now preview your own store in any of them: your homepage, a product, a category and a guide. A readiness check lists anything the new template needs, with a button to fix each one. You see exactly how your store will look before you switch.
You can now add your name, a photo and a line about yourself to your store. About You shows beside your articles, so visitors can see a real person picked the products and wrote the reviews. Set it up once and it shows across your store.
Product pages no longer repeat the same text, and on phones the price and the first buy button now show on the first screen, before any scrolling. Visitors see the price and where to buy straight away, which is what most of them came for.
Buy buttons now say which retailer the click goes to and show the price, so visitors know where they are going before they click. Each template offers two button styles, and every product card always has a retailer button. Pick the style that suits your store.
You can now add Store Editor sections above, below or beside the main content of your category, brand and article pages, for example a banner, a newsletter signup or featured products. Where a template cannot show a section in a spot, the editor labels it clearly.
Switching your store to another template now carries your homepage, pages, logo and fonts across with it. Nothing is deleted, and before you switch you see a clear list of anything that stays behind. You can try a new template without losing the work you put into the old one.
You can now keep your logo and menu on screen while visitors scroll, with the new sticky header option. A Tall logo size gives stacked logos the room they need. Both were requested on the FreshStore roadmap, and you find them with your other header settings in Design.
You can now set start and end dates on your homepage Offer Box, so a promotion shows only while it runs. Featured products, categories and articles can also shuffle on each visit, so returning visitors see something new. Both settings are in the Store Editor.
Visitors can now sort the products on your category, brand and All Products pages. You choose the default sort order for the whole store, and you can set a different order for any single category. Sorting was requested on the FreshStore roadmap.
You can now switch your store to Emporium, a department store template built for big catalogues. The homepage opens on your departments with their product counts, product grids are dense so visitors see more at once, and search sits in the header.
You can now build your homepage in the Store Editor at Design > Editor. Add, remove, reorder and style sections in a split view, with a live preview you can switch between desktop and phone. Move sections with the up and down buttons. Nothing reaches your visitors until you press Publish.
You can now restyle your store with one of six themes: Crystal, Magazine, Outlet, Boutique, Directory and Midnight. A theme sets your homepage sections, colours and fonts in one click, and your content stays as it is. If you change your mind, a theme switch can be undone within 30 days.
Every store has moved to the new FreshStore design. Your products, articles, categories, pages and text are all still there; what changed is how your store looks and how you edit it.
What is new:
Six themes: restyle your store in one click, and undo a switch within 30 days.
Store Editor: add, reorder and style homepage sections with a live desktop and phone preview. Nothing goes live until you publish.
Colours: set five of your own, or let AI pick a palette for your niche.
Fonts: 81 fonts and ten ready made pairings.
Custom pages: create new pages and build them like your homepage.
Custom CSS and Custom HTML: style the whole store, or embed code on any page.
Uploads and rich text: real image uploads and formatted text in every section.
Link chooser: pick any page, product or category to link to.
Reset Design: go back to your theme's starting point at any time.
You can now change your store's fonts at Design > Typography. Pick one of ten font pairings in one click, or choose freely from 81 fonts. A new Heading block lets you add a styled heading wherever you need one in the Store Editor.
Image slots in Store Editor sections now take real uploads: click Upload, pick a file, and the slot tells you the best size to use. Text fields in sections get a rich text editor, so you can add bold text, links and lists without code.
You can now create your own pages. Go to Store > Pages and click New Page, then build it in the Store Editor with the same sections you use on your homepage. Use it for a landing page, a buying guide or anything else your store needs.
You can now add your own CSS for the whole store at Design > Custom CSS, and drop embed code onto any page with the new Custom HTML section in the Store Editor. Highlight Boxes also get a switch for each box, so you show only the ones you want.
You can now set five colours of your own for your store, and FreshStore checks they stay readable. Or let AI create a palette that suits your niche in one click. Your store background colour can be changed too. Find it all under Design in your store admin.
The FreshStore credit in your store footer now carries your own referral link by default, so a visitor who joins FreshStore through your store counts as your referral. The link is added however your footer credit is worded. It turns every store you run into a quiet, always on referral link with nothing to set up.
New stores are now built on the new section based design, with a theme, fonts and colour palette that AI picks to suit the store's niche. Your store looks finished from its first minute instead of starting on a plain default look. You can change any of it later in Design.
You can now choose where a link goes from a searchable list instead of pasting an address. Link fields search every page, product and category in your store, and a link set this way follows its target if you rename it, so it does not break.
